Be careful to watch the pin placement on this three tiered green. Add 10 yards if the pin is on the upper tier or deduct 10 yards if the pin is on the lower tier. Hole #3 409 Yards | Par 4
No place to bail out here. With bunkers on the left and water along the entire right side, your tee shot and approach much be precise. All shots that miss the green on the right will roll down the embankment into the water.
One of the longer par 3s on the course, this hole will test players of all abilities. Any shot missed to the right of the green will find its way into the big bunker or trees. This hole ranks as one of the toughest on the course.
Plays more like 500 yards because this one is always playing against the wind! The tee shot must be long and accurate; finding the fairway is a must. The second shot plays 150-200 yards with a deep ravine in front of the green guarding the green. Par is a great score here!
It plays more like 500 yards because this one is always playing against the wind. The tee shot must be long and accurate; finding the fairway is a must. The second shot plays 150 to 227 yards with trees guarding both sides of the fairway approach. Two deep bunkers left provides no area to bail out and to the right and long you have a 15 foot drop so the ball will run away from the green. Once on the the green it is not over, this green is undulating from back to front and very quick. Many Championship comebacks have unfortunately ended on the hole.
Short in distance, but this hole sets up great for an aggressive golfer. It requires a straightaway 260 yard drive and watch out for the tree on the right and a large right-hand fairway bunker. For the big hitters the green is reachable in two strokes. A more conservative play with a mid to long iron will leave you a short iron into the two tiered green.
Although reachable in two shots, you must have a good drive from the elevated tee box and must avoid the two bunkers guarding the landing area of the fairway drive. The green is well bunker and you may want to just layup for safety.
The last three holes at Madden are among the toughest and is also known as Dead Man Corner!
One of the toughest if not the toughest dogleg right driving holes at Madden. The fairway is guarded by water all along the right side of the fairway and on the left you have a fairway bunker to contend with. This is quite the challenge to walk away with a par!
A good tee shot is important here. Basically a straight away par 5 with tall trees on the left that you must avoid, and a huge fairway bunker on the right. It has an elevated green that slopes from back to front with a green length right-hand bunker. Three shots are the norm, but two good shots are capable of leaving you with an eagle opportunity.
A challenging par 4 that favors a soft draw off the tee to a generously wide fairway with trees on both sides. Be careful of the tall natural grass on the left of the cart path because it does come into play. You should have a mid-iron into this well bunkered, elevated green, with a steep slope on the right that feeds to the front of the green.
